Set up the workflow

   Connect the correct IXL account

   Open IXL in the dashboard and verify the saved student login. Check the account name before loading work; another linked account can have different assignments.

   Choose exact work

   Select an assessment, teacher task or recommendation. Confirm the skill or work title instead of assuming every question on IXL belongs to that assignment.

   Preview before running

   Use the preview action for one supported result. Review the source and coverage state, then choose the question target, accuracy and pacing for a submitted run.

   Run or schedule

   Start the selected work, or save a supported schedule after checking its account, work scope and timing. A schedule is not a guarantee of a completed score.

Practice in the browser

The unified extension scans supported visible questions and offers lookup or AI assistance. Optional autosolve belongs to the extension; it is separate from the dashboard work queue.

When a skill is unavailable

If the question is unrecognized, refresh the activity and check the extension is enabled for this tab. Do not repeatedly submit an unverified output. For dashboard discovery problems, verify the linked account and reload its work list.
